Why Woolen Lights

There are days! Days were your kids are demanding, your partner is demanding, work is demanding and you want to run away and hide. I can’t be the only one, right?
When I was younger (seems like Eons ago), my mind drifted to the hustle and bustle of New York City.  I remember how much I love strolling the streets and gazing at the window displays.  The sound of the horns and cars whizzing by and the smell of asphalt. I’m still not sure why I love the smell of asphalt so much, maybe is reminds me of all the wonderful memories I had living there. The way you could step out of your apartment and literally do anything you wanted. It was all right there.
As much as still love NYC and enjoy all of our trips there, now days my mind thinks of a peaceful cabin in the woods. I dream of curling up on a cozy couch with tons of pillows (my husband hates them, so I need to indulge in my daydreams) with my dog and some knitting. A nearby fireplace is crackling and the moon light is streaming in through the windows. I always image that I am far north where I can see the Northern Lights. Seeing them is on my bucket list. Ah, sounds like heaven.
When I was thinking of a name and logo for my company, I wanted something that reminded me of a peaceful evening in the woods and something that encompasses that feeling. Hence the idea of Woolen Lights was born.
I want Woolen lights to incorporate my two favorite things, hand dyed yarn and candles.

Where do you like to go to get away?
